Terms of Service
Last updated: June 18, 2026
These Terms govern your use of spotsnap (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use spotsnap.
1. What spotsnap is
spotsnap is a notification service. We monitor publicly available campsite availability on Parks Canada and BC Parks reservation systems and alert you when a sold-out site appears to open up — almost always because someone cancelled. You complete any booking yourself on the official park website.
We never book, hold, reserve, or resell campsites, and we do not automate the booking process on your behalf. spotsnap is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Parks Canada, BC Parks, or any reservation provider.
2. No guarantees
Campsite availability depends entirely on other people changing their plans, and on third-party systems we don't control. We do not guarantee that any site will become available, that you will receive every alert, that alerts will arrive at any particular speed, or that a site will still be available when you act on an alert. Availability can change within seconds. spotsnap is a tool to help you — not a promise of a campsite.
3. Your account & acceptable use
- You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure.
- Use spotsnap for your own personal campsite searches. Don't resell, scrape, or redistribute the Service or our data.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
4. Plans & billing
spotsnap offers a free plan and paid plans (Camper and Explorer). Paid plans, when available, are billed through Stripe. You can cancel a paid plan at any time from your account; cancellation stops future renewals. Plan limits and prices are shown on our pricing page and may change with notice.
5. Service availability & changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and the Service may be unavailable from time to time (including when a park's own systems are down). We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
6. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, spotsnap and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any missed alerts, lost campsites, booking failures, or amounts you couldn't recover — and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which spotsnap is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
